Praying the Rosary

We often consider praying the Rosary to be a uniquely Roman Catholic affair. However, what a lot of people don’t realise is that the Rosary as we know it today has deep roots in the early church and that many thousands of Anglicans pray the Rosary every day here in the UK.

At All Saints in Hereford there is a Rosary Group that meets at 12:10 each Monday to pray together. We meet and discuss the issues we’d like to pray for and then hold them before God as we step through the simple and beautiful prayers of the Rosary. We use the Rosary as a scaffold for our prayers and as a comfortable discipline to bring our minds and bodies in focus before Jesus.

Learning the Rosary is very simple – but it is something that is much easier to learn in person than over the internet. Come along on a Monday and there will always be someone on hand to show you how to pray the Rosary.

We have free Rosaries to give away as well as instruction sheets you can take with you. These can be found on the round table in the Lady Chapel and are available all week. Please do come in and help yourself.
