Music & Choir – Holy Trinity

Worcester Cathedral, April 2022

The Choir is made up of seventeen members covering a broad age-range, and a range of musical abilities- all committed to achieving the highest standards of music in worship! The Choir leads the music at the main Sunday morning service each week during term-time and is a valued part of the worshipping community at Holy Trinity. Recent members of the choir have gone on to take up choral and organ scholarships, and the choir includes former choral and organ scholars.

We undertake occasional cathedral visits, sometimes in conjunction with another choir, and usually singing a Saturday Evensong and a Sunday Morning Eucharist and afternoon Evensong. Recent visits have been to Llandaff, Worcester and Brecon Cathedrals as well as Southwell Minster in Nottinghamshire. If you are interested in joining the choir, please contact our Interim Director of Music.

Holy Trinity building, with its excellent acoustics, is a popular venue for concerts by local schools, for rehearsals by various ensembles and for professional concerts and recitals, including hosting concerts for The Three Choirs Festival every three years.

Our organ is widely used for practice and teaching, and we look after the management of the Hereford Steinway concert grand. We are a local examination centre for the Associated Board (ABRSM) and for Trinity College London.
